Pink quartz

Quartz takes its name from a Slavic word meaning "hard". This is a family of minerals and chemical composition and similar physical properties. We can distinguish two kinds of quartz:

-The macrocrystalline quartz, ie crystals visible to the naked eye (Amethyst, Quartz améthystin, citrine, rock crystal, aventurine prase, blue quartz, prasiolite, smoky quartz, rose quartz, quartz-eye cat , hawk-eye, eye-of-tiger ...)

-The microcrystalline quartz, or small microscopic crystals (chalcedony, carnelian, carnelian, agate, chrysopase, heliotrope, jasper ...)

Pink Quartz is often cracked and cloudy. The pink color is attributed to the presence of titanium and manganese. In cabochon cut stones, small inclusions of rutile create an asterism six branches. Deposits rose quartz are found in Brazil, Madagascar, the United States, India, Mozambique, Namibia and Sri Lanka. Rose quartz is often cut into cabochons, balls necklace or art objects. Only light crude rose quartz faceted.
